  • In-Home Dog Training

In-Home Dog Training is perfect for owners that want to have a more hands-on approach to their dog’s training. We make training fun and practical for you and your pup. Training becomes a way of life and a fun way to communicate with your furry friend. Together, we’ll learn what drives your dog and how to positively reinforce the behavior you want to keep and eliminate the unwanted behavior. Training happens once a week for about an hour in your home. Clients typically see results within the first session.

  • Boarding and Training

Good Dogz KC offers a lifetime commitment to you and your dogs' training after attending our Board and Train programs. This means that, as long as you are committed to holding your dogs accountable to the new behaviors they learn with us, we will be committed to helping you feel confident handling your dogs after they return home from their Board and Train as well as ensuring you have adequate problem-solving skills for whatever might come your way. When it comes to the highest quality training for your pup, this is the best option as the training is done by the professionals. We do all the work and bring back a dog that is relaxed, focused and ready to take on the world with their new skills.

  • In-Home Consultation

If you prefer to talk in-person, schedule an in-home consultation. We’ll come to you and give you a sneak peek at what you can expect from us during training. This option is also great if you have a dog with behavioral modification needs and you’d like us to evaluate them in-person. We look forward to seeing you, soon!

What makes us different?

In order to understand why our dogs do the things we don’t like (barking, digging, chewing, and biting) we first have to see our dogs for who they truly are.

Do you see your dog?

What kinds of things do dogs like to do? Herding, hunting, chasing, guarding, and pulling. There was a time when we celebrated our dog’s uniqueness, the differences that made them qualified for a job that was vital to our joint existence. We worked together and we saw each other, an equal partnership that evolved into humans living in comfort with no need to herd, chase, capture, and hunt our prey.

Fast-forward 10,000+ years and we find that we are still working alongside dogs but the work is a little different for common pet dogs. We ask them for their emotional support and unfettered companionship and what we get in return is barking at ghosts in the yard, chewing up our nicest shoes, and biting or growling at strangers on walks.

Our goal is to transform the way pet owners see their furry friends. Dog owners of every kind struggle with the notion that they have a bad, disobedient, or stubborn dog or that they don’t have the ability to change their dog’s behavior. Most of the frustrations we face are symptoms of miscommunication and not understanding that our dog’s primal needs are not being fulfilled.

Humans can fulfill our dogs in other ways besides matching hoodies, dog beer, and arduous walks in the neighborhood where we are pulled from start to finish.
